Official taxi and DiDi
The correct ride app is DiDi China: Ride Hailing. That is not DiDi Rider, which is a different overseas product.
English UI, a foreign number, and cards are the documented visitor path. Alipay’s DiDi mini program is officially documented by Shanghai (21 July 2026).
Uber sold its China business to DiDi in 2016. Do not plan on Uber in mainland China.
